So then here i go my first blog, actually it is the first time i am trying my hand at writing.Kudos to my sis Shweta & my pal Tejas for relentlessly pursuing me to start writing a blog:p
Frankly being d kind of philosophical person that i m i can think and write about almost anything but then i don't want to scare of people reading it!...HaHa..Well the thing that surrounds my mind the most at this time is India's emphatic yet dominant win over Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. It was a fabulous performance by Team India, yes m using d word "Team" because India played as a team as a unit.It was a collective performance by d team.
India won 4-0, yes sir you heard it right!"Brownwash" as we may call it.It was only since 1969-70 that the aussies lost 4 tests on a trot or in a series. One of the worst series ever for the aussies.Legendary commentator & Cricket Pundit Richie Benaud had mentioned it right in the second test when the aussies lost d match to India by an  innings & 135 runs that this signals the death of Australian Cricket.I agree this Aussie team was one of the worst performing ever.Losing to India, a side just a year back whom they had beaten 4-0 lost 0-4 this time around quite suprising. I must say being an avid Indian  Cricket Fan it was really great to  see India finally dominating dictating their own terms.MS Dhoni the man deserves a lot of credit i feel he has been subjected to a lot of unfair criticism in recent times.Agreed we lost 8 matches on a trot to England & Australia but give the man some credit for the way he has brought this team together. He has moulded the youngsters backed them given them confidence you could see that by looking the performaces of young players like Ravichandran Ashwin,Murali Vijay,Ravindra Jadeja,Chateshwar Puajara & so many more of them who hav been  the architect of India's win over the aussies. Not the most competitive Aussie side one would expect to travel to India.None the less it was a great privelge to  see Ashwin & Jadeja bowl in tandem. They nailed it i must say.Outstanding performance by both of them Ashwin deservedly being declared the man  of the series.A series of positives for Team India i must confess. As Sunil Gavaskar summed up India's performance in the series that India had a different hero in each test match they played. It feels quite relaxing now to see that finally India's dependence on The Master has finally decreased unlike the 90's where Sachin was the sole performer of the team.Murali Vijay too played his role in a very stylish fashion hitting two back to back tons. His wristy yet gritty performances hav assured the selectors that they were spot on picking him ahead of stalwarts Sehwag & Gambhir.Vijay has matured by leaps & bounds considering he has got many chances in the past.Pujara the new found at no.3 has been a prolific run scoring machine as well.Vijay & Pujara being the first & second highest run getters in the series dominated by India.
I was spellbounded by Indian Team's performance but i feel the real test awaits this young yet fighting team.Facing the Proteas in their own backyard is a tough assignment i feel. This will surely test their nerves. The real test for the Pujara's,Vijay's.Jadeja's,Ashwin and rest others will start here.Facing the best bowler in the world is no small task.Dale Steyn in the past has rattled the Indian Batting and he will leave no stone unturned to do the same thing this time around.Kallis & Amla are there as usual to make things difficult for India bt none the less with the emergence of fresh talent in Team India i feel we hav a chance of giving the proteas a run for their money it is going to be one cracker of a series. Not to miss the Master....he had a quite series against the aussies but let me tell you he will be back with a bang. When d goin g gets tough the Master gets going.I can assure you he will be the best performing Indian Batsman in the series.I will write in detail about the master some other time anyways Congrats to MS Dhoni & Co for their convincing 4-0 thrashing of the aussies..The Indians gave the aussies a piece of their own medicine..Final scorline India 4-0 Australia.

  3. nyc 1 bro...gud analysis...india really needed this confidence before the tour of africa...and the best thing about the team was the positive attitude...specially in the fourth innings in mohali....to do that without sehwag really speaks about the winning attitude that is being cultivated (as opposed to the inexplicable draw at dominica, india decided to shut shop needing 86 runs from 15 overs with 9 wickets in hand). As for australia, i guess they too are a team in transition just like us..so it would be a bit harsh to call them the worst australian side. Neways great start to d blog...waiting for your next one!! Cheers!!!

It was truly an unbelievable victory for India &for the matter of fact it is by far the most convincing series win for india in any format of the game our generation hv witnessed !! Dhoni was jus incredible &being the best captain ever he killed it. Also cheers to the young boys Ashwin, vijay, jadeja, pujara &dhawan (for his blistering innings of 187 which proved to be the match winning one) for their brilliant talent n contribution to the team &yesss our favourite SACHIN he'll matter when it matters the most or as u said "when the goin gets tough the master gets goin" :))
Keep up the great wrk...:) bravo tc
